Bitcoin Mining Calculator

Estimate what a fleet of ASIC miners earns and spends per day, month and year. Network difficulty, block reward and BTC price load live from mempool.space, and every value can be changed.

How it works

Expected BTC = hashrate × time × block reward ÷ (difficulty × 2³²), less the pool fee. Revenue is that BTC at the price entered; power cost is the miners' draw × 24 hours × your electricity price.

  • Block reward: the 3.125 BTC subsidy plus the average transaction fees over the last 144 blocks (about one day).
  • Break-even power price: the electricity price at which revenue equals power cost. It shows whether a gas or power asset suits mining.
  • Hardware break-even: price of the miners ÷ daily profit, at today's difficulty and price.
  • Power draw: the machines' rated wall power. Site overhead such as cooling and transformers adds to it, often 3–10%.

Difficulty rises over time, the 2028 halving cuts the subsidy to 1.5625 BTC, and the BTC price moves daily, so real results will differ. Treat the result as a snapshot, not a forecast.

Frequently asked questions

How much does one bitcoin miner earn per day?
An S21-class machine (200 TH/s, 3,500 W) mines about 0.00009 BTC a day at network values from ⁦2026-10-28⁩, worth about $7.05 before power. At $0.05/kWh its power costs $4.20 a day.
What electricity price makes bitcoin mining profitable?
Mining is profitable after power costs while your electricity costs less than the break-even price: the revenue each kWh earns. For a 17.5 J/TH machine that was about $0.084 per kWh at network values from ⁦2026-10-28⁩. More efficient machines tolerate higher power prices.
Can flared or stranded gas power bitcoin mining?
Yes. A gas generator on site turns gas that would be flared into power for the miners. 1 MMscf/d runs roughly 4.4 MW, enough for about 1,260 S21-class machines, and containerized miners need no grid connection, so they can be deployed quickly.
Why does the result change from day to day?
Difficulty adjusts about every two weeks, fees vary from block to block and the BTC price moves constantly. The calculator loads the latest values each time you open it.
